Body found in Lake Carolyn

Irving—The Irving Police received a call at 10:15 am on March 8 from a resident who believed there was a body floating in the waters of Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas. Officers were dispatched and confirmed there was a body in the water. The Irving Fire Department also responded and recovered the body.

The victim was identified as Christian Jonathan Galvan Flores, 28, from Irving. Flores is survived by his wife, Stacy, his parents, Blanca and Sergio, and brothers, Alex and Jack.

Visitation and rosary for Mr. Flores were held on March 13 at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home in Irving. Mass was held on March 14 at St. Luke Catholic Church. He was laid to rest at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.

As of March 14, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release a cause of death.
