Driver dies in collision

Grand Prairie—The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, May 12.

Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 3800 block of south State Highway 360 service road at approximately 11:10 a.m. A Nissan SUV was traveling south when the driver lost control and collided with a light pole. The driver was transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injuries. The driver later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner office will identify the deceased once the next of kin have been notified. This collision remains under investigation.
